Thank you pet stores and veterinarians of Montreal!  Your generous donations of toys helped provide 100 pet toys to be delivered to the pets of people aged 55 years and older living in Laval, Montreal and the South Shore.  These loving animals keep our aging baby-boomers active, healthy, emotionally calm and provide our Kigiers a daily routine.     

Kigi Agency decided to support the pets of our members in July because having a pet brings so many benefits to people living alone or who are transitioning away from an active lifestyle.   Owning a pet has been shown to reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure and help with the effects of isolation.  KIGI is a non-profit organization in need of its members and supportive local business to fight ageism and isolation.  Together, we can keep our aging baby-boomers healthy and socially engaged, while keeping our businesses productive and appropriately staffed.
