Useful Links for the Mental Health of Caregivers

Thank you for taking some time out of your day for some self care.  A walk around the block for fresh air, a warm bath or gentle music in the background while you sit with a good book are all methods of self care we can include in our day.  For some of us who are caregivers to others, we try to incorporate self care practices where possible.  Caregivers could sometimes use a little help!  Kigi Agency has sourced two websites which include a lot of information, tips and tricks for helping caregivers who may feel overwhelmed or who need to review their own mental health.  We hope you or the caregiver in your life can benefit from this information.

Are you a caregiver feeling a little (or a lot) overwhelmed?  There are a few things you can try to incorporate into your caregiving routine to ease some of those feelings.  Read through this short brochure published by the CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association) for a few tips and contact information for more help

Whilst not specific to mental health, this booklet from BiblioAidants includes a wide range of contact information for seniors in Quebec which include mental health services, legal assistance for seniors, government links and reading suggestions for recently published English language books on a variety of topics involving aging
