We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our accounting department.
The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing the various costs related to the company's expenses. He/she will be a key player to support organizational growth and help control and reduce operational and management costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities are:
Responsible for establishing production and service costs, ensuring their control and update on a regular basis.
Understand manufacturing methods and cost accumulation to ensure in collaboration with the relevant teams the accuracy of the costing.
Perform gross margin fluctuations analysis and prepare reports and recommendations.
Participate in the evaluation of the profitability of products/customers/territory, etc.
Analyze current costs and explain discrepancies with the budget and previous periods.
Participate in price revision/establishment by contributing to the costing of products/special projects.
Prepare (monthly, quarterly, and annual) cost forecasts/reforecasts.
Actively participate in the budget process.
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Prepare various analysis reports.
Participate in audit files.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
Experience with ERP software
Computer literacy, MS Excel (advanced)
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Strong time management skills
BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study, CPA designation an asset
