Job offer details
Starting in mid- September, the physiotherapist will discuss how to avoid or cope with injuries and provide a demonstration of positioning, exercise or ergonomics to assist participants in understanding how to avoid or cope with an injury.
This position is an in-person role at the Women’s Centre’s location in Pointe-Claire, where appropriate public health measures are in place with respect to Covid-19 and food hygiene. Should public health authorities require a return to increased distancing measures, this group may be converted to an online presentation via Zoom.
WORK DAYS & HOURS: One day between mid-September and November 2021. The session should be 1.5 hours long. A maximum of 30 minutes is suggested to prepare this interaction in advance. A total of 2 hours will be paid. Please note: This position will be paid directly by the West Island Women’s Centre, and you will NOT be an employee of Kigi Agency.
Work environment
- Licensed or retired physiotherapist
- Good understanding of the health of aging women
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creative thinking
- Ability to explain and answer questions related to injury within a group setting
- Technology: knowledge and experience working with Zoom (if required to return to social distancing)
- Bilingual English/French an asset – written and oral
