The West Island Women’s Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of women. As part of its ongoing programming to support women, the West Island Women’s Centre (WIWC) created several discussion groups exclusively for women 55 years and older and is looking to provide a series based on Mental Health and Wellness. The specific focus of this position will be on providing chair yoga, meditation and visualization to a group of women aged 55 years and older.
This two-week commitment requires a qualified yoga instructor to provide chair yoga and meditation/visualization classes ideal for aging women.
This position is an in-person role at the Women’s Centre’s location in Pointe-Claire, where appropriate public health measures are in place with respect to Covid-19.
WORK DAYS & HOURS: 1 day per week for 2 consecutive weeks between mid-September and the end of November. The sessions should be a total of 1.5 hours each. A maximum of 30 minutes is suggested to prepare this interaction in advance. Total hours shall be 2 hours per session. Please note: This position will be paid directly by the West Island Women’s Centre, and you will NOT be an employee of Kigi Agency.
